New: 20th Car + Cow Collector — seven games for the whole car

Know every exit before you get there.

You're hungry, the tank is low, and the next big green sign is a mystery. Pit Stop shows the gas, food, stays, rest areas, and must‑see sights at every exit ahead — rated by real road‑trippers, working with zero signal. Then it lets the whole car vote on dinner and navigates to the winner.

Every mile of the US interstate system — bundled on your phone, so it works where cell service doesn't.

HOW IT WORKS

It just knows.

Open the app on any highway in America. Pit Stop figures out which interstate you're on, which direction you're headed, and lines up everything at the exits ahead — sorted by when you'll reach them.

🧭

Zero setup, zero taps

No route to enter, no destination needed. GPS finds your highway and direction; the exits ahead just appear.

🪧

Reads like the real signs

Filter to Food and every exit becomes a blue logo board — the brands you know, laid out like the signs on the roadside.

🔎

"Where's the next Chipotle?"

Type any craving or brand and see the next five exits that have it, with miles, minutes, and distance off the ramp.

Worth the stop

Real roadside wonders — castles, museums, national parks — get a heart so you never drive past something great.

📶

Works where signal doesn't

The entire exit database ships inside the app. Rural Wyoming, the Smokies, dead zones — it all still works.

🚘

Made for the dash

Full CarPlay app: exits ahead on the car screen, tap one for details, tap a place and Apple Maps takes you in.

🛏

Rest areas, right in the lineup

Rest stops and service plazas appear between exits at their real mile markers — blue cards, just like the signs.

Rated by real road-trippers

Drivers rate gas stations for selection, restrooms, and safety — so you know which stop to trust before the ramp.

🎮

Games for the whole car

Seven games, from Over/Under to Exit Bingo to Cow Collector — passengers play on their own phones, no app needed.

THE APP

Straight from the road.

Real screens, real exits — this is I-75 north of Cincinnati, exactly as Pit Stop sees it.

NEW · BEYOND THE INTERSTATES

The legendary roads, town by town.

Every exit app stops at the interstates. Pit Stop now covers America's storied two-lanes too — the same live "what's ahead" view, with towns as the stops and real mile markers.

Which legend should we map next?

One tap. We build the winner next.

CARPLAY

Eyes up.
Exits on the dash.

Pit Stop is an Apple-approved CarPlay driving app. The next exits live on your car's screen; one tap hands navigation to Apple Maps. No phone-fumbling at 70 mph.

THE WHOLE KIT

One app for the entire drive.

🧭 Before the exit

Every exit ahead with real gas, food, hotels & sights · rest areas at true mile markers · comfort badges (24/7 travel centers, open-late, busy exits) · must-see ♥ detours · voice search: "where's the next Chipotle?"

🤝 Smarter stops

Community stars for selection, restrooms & safety · tap-to-call any place before you commit · Dinner Draft: the car votes on every restaurant ahead, Pit Stop navigates to the winner · works with zero signal, everywhere.

🎮 Between the exits

Seven games on one trip-long scoreboard — Over/Under, Exit Bingo, License Plates, Dinner Draft, Mile Marker Showdown, 20th Car, Cow Collector · passengers join from any phone, even in a second car · CarPlay keeps the driver in the loop, hands-free.

BACKSEAT GAMES

"How much longer?" — solved.

Pit Stop turns the drive into the game. The driver's phone hosts; everyone else joins from their own phone at play.pit-stop-app.com — no app, no accounts, just a 5-letter room code. The driver plays by ear.

🍔

Dinner Draft — the family dinner fight, solved

Pit Stop deals every restaurant coming up in the next half hour, deduped, as one big tappable menu. Everyone marks what they'd be happy with from their own phone; the most-wanted spot wins, and the driver taps once to navigate straight to it. No more "I don't know, what do YOU want?" at 70 mph.

🎯

Over/Under

"More or fewer than 6 places to eat at Exit 29?" Everyone locks in a guess — and the answer reveals the moment you drive past the exit. The road itself runs the game.

🚙

Exit Bingo

Every player gets a card dealt from the road actually ahead — the gas signs, the diners, the rest areas coming up — plus classics like water towers and out-of-state plates. Five in a row wins.

🚘

License Plate Game

The classic, kept honest: the whole car hunts all 50 states together, first spotter claims each one, and the scoreboard runs all trip. Milestone celebrations included.

Mile Marker Showdown

"How many minutes to mile marker 120?" Lock a guess, then sweat it out — closest wins when the GPS says you crossed it.

🚕

20th Car

Bet the color of the 20th oncoming car, then count them down out loud. White pays +2 — but call purple and hit it, and that's +10. Gambling for children, in the best way.

🐄

Cow Collector

Grow your herd: cow on a sign +1, real cows +2. But Pit Stop knows the location of all 4,644 cemeteries visible from US interstates — pass one for real, and a burial window opens on every phone. First tap wipes every other herd to zero. No fake cemeteries, no mercy.

🚗🚙

Convoy mode

Rooms work across cars. Two-car caravan to the beach? Grandma's crew can join the same room from the other car and compete the whole way down.

🏆

One scoreboard

Every game feeds the same trip-long scoreboard, so the family champion is settled by the time you arrive. Rooms vanish after the drive; first names only.

💡

Invented by families

20th Car and Cow Collector started as house rules from real road-trip parents. Got a game your car swears by? Tell us — the best ones get built.

WHY I BUILT THIS

Built by a dad with five kids in the car.

Hi, I'm Jake. I have five kids: a 12 year old who plays travel hockey and soccer, three girls who are 10, 6, and 4 and deep in the competitive cheer world, and a 10 month old who is just along for the ride. Between tournaments, competitions, and regular family trips, we put about 30,000 miles a year on the road.

Pit Stop exists because I was tired of guessing what was at the next exit with a van full of kids. Which exit has a playground so everyone can run for twenty minutes. Where the food is more than a gas station hot dog. When the next real stop is 80 miles out and you'd better take this one. I built the app we needed in our own front seat, and it turns out a lot of other families needed it too.
