The last gas warning

Pit Stop says it out loud a few miles before the last gas for a long stretch. Film the moment it speaks.

What's actually at the next exit

The blue sign says FOOD. Pit Stop shows which places, and how far off the ramp they are.

The 3D Route 66 and Highway 1 drives

Scroll the whole road in 3D on Route 66 or Highway 1. Screen record it.

Never film while you are driving. Film as a passenger, or with the car parked. Screen recordings work great.

The rules

Short version: be honest, mark it as an ad, and do not pay people to download.

Mark every post as an ad. Use #ad or your platform's paid partnership label. The FTC requires it.
Do not offer viewers anything for downloading. No giveaways, no "download and comment for a prize". Apple does not allow paid installs.
No fake reviews, spam comments or bought clicks. Downloads from those do not count and end your account.
iPhone only. The program pays for App Store downloads. Android links still work and send people to Google Play, but Google Play downloads do not pay out.
How a download is counted. Apple credits a download to your link when it happens within 24 hours of someone tapping it. We take the numbers from App Store Connect at the start of each month.
When you get paid. Monthly, once Apple pays us for that month (usually 4 to 6 weeks after it ends). $10 minimum; smaller balances roll over. Over $600 in a year, we will ask for a W-9.
Changes. We can change the rate or end the program with 30 days' notice. You keep everything you earned before that.

Do I need a big following?

No. Plenty of road trip videos from small accounts get shown far beyond their followers. If one of yours takes off, you earn on every download it brings in.

Is the app free?

Pit Stop is $2.99 on the App Store, one time, no subscription. Reply to your welcome email and we will send you a free copy to film with.

Can I see how I'm doing?

Yes. Your stats page shows every click on your link, day by day, and your downloads and earnings each month once we pull them from App Store Connect.

I posted a video. How do I let you know?

Paste the video's link on your stats page (the private link in your welcome email). Jake gets a ping as soon as you add it.

What does Pit Stop actually do?

It knows which interstate you are on and shows what is at the exits ahead: gas, food, hotels and the places worth a stop. On iPhone, CarPlay and Android, with heads-ups spoken out loud, a road trip passport and trip recaps.
